Peerfinder
PeerFinder is a multi-dimensional instant message software platform
that provides Peer Group interaction, Web site-enabled instant messaging
and multimedia presentations in a small flexible desktop footprint.
In PeerFinder, Peer Groups, Web sites and Buddy Lists are organizing
principles. Peer Groups and Web sites may also be thought of as virtual
"rooms" where people meet to communicate. If you think of Peer Groups
and Web sites as destinations where you'll meet people, the program
has two modes of operation you can use to find people. You'll see
these modes of operation referred to as Peer Groups and SiteSeers
named for the groups you'll encounter using PeerFinder. In one mode,
you'll encounter people in Peer Groups and in the other mode, you'll
encounter SiteSeers or people on Web sites. In both modes, you'll
have access to your Buddy List explained later in this section.
